Code built from
what the team decided.

A coding agent writes good code from whatever brief it is given, and the brief is usually a paragraph someone pasted. With Together, Claude Code, Codex or pi reads the spec and the threads where it was argued before it builds, and reports back in the channel where the team already talks.

The cost

What the work costs
before Together

The ticket says what to build, and the reason it changed lives in a thread the coding agent never sees.

Every session starts with an engineer pasting the spec and last week's decision into a prompt, minus whatever they forgot.

What the agent built and why is explained in a terminal nobody else reads.

With Together

What changes

One install

together skill install teaches Claude Code, Codex or pi to search the workspace, read a document or a thread and post back. together mcp serves the same commands to any MCP client.

It reads before it builds

Asked to build from a spec, the agent opens it, follows it to the threads where it was argued, and works from the latest word on it, which it quotes in the pull request.

Numbers from the sheet

When the change depends on data the team keeps, such as plan limits or a price list, the agent asks the sheet in SQL instead of trusting a figure copied into the ticket.

Back where the team talks

Its progress and the questions it could not settle go to the thread it was briefed from, under the name of the engineer who started it, so the team reads them without asking.

In practice

How it plays out
for a team like yours

Tuesday, 11:20

In #checkout, Tomas and Mara agree that the annual plan shows its monthly price first, with the yearly total underneath. The checkout spec still says the opposite, and nobody writes a ticket.

Wednesday, 9:40

Priya asks Claude Code to build the new plan picker. It searches Together, finds Tuesday's thread beside the spec, and builds to the thread because it is the later word.

Wednesday, 11:05

Its note in #checkout quotes the decision it followed and asks what the thread left open: the price a team on a discount sees. Tomas answers in two lines, and the change is done before lunch.
