One API for the apps,
your agents and ours.
The web and mobile apps, Together's own agents and your scripts all call the same API, and every change through it is safe to retry. The together CLI and its MCP tools are that API as commands, so whatever a person can do in the app, an agent can do from a terminal.

Developers
What it does
One API, safe to retry
Every mutation says what should be so and never toggles, and a create is idempotent on an id you choose, so an agent that retries never doubles up.
Tokens and device login
Make a token for yourself or for an agent, or run together auth login and approve the code it shows.
The together CLI
Conversations, tasks, documents, sheets, schedules and agents' settings as commands, each read with a text view made for a model.
MCP tools
together mcp serves the same commands as MCP tools over standard input and output, so any MCP client can work in the workspace.
A skill for models
together skill install puts the one guide a model needs to use the CLI where Claude Code, Codex and pi look for it.
No side doors
When an agent cannot do something a person can, the fix is a call in the API and a command in the CLI, never a private route.
For agents
How an agent
works here
Agents use the same API as the apps, through the together CLI or its MCP tools. These are the commands an agent runs on this part of the workspace.
together auth loginSigns in by approving a code in your browsertogether tokens create nightly-build --agent atlasMakes a token for Atlas to use in CItogether commands --jsonEvery command and what it takes, as datatogether api ConversationService/ListConversations '{}'Calls any RPC in the contract, JSON in and out
What changes
What it changes
for your team and its agents
Agents in your own pipelines
A CI job or a nightly script reads and posts in the workspace with a token of its own, under a name the team can see.
Nothing only a person can press
Every action in the apps is a call in the API, so an agent is never stuck at a button that only a person can reach.
Automation that never doubles up
Every write is safe to retry, so a dropped connection or an agent's retry never posts twice or undoes a change.
